Emily Spier is a secondary character in the book, Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda and the movie Love, Simon. Emily is the wife of Jack Spier and the mother of Alice, Simon and Nora. In the movie Love, Simon, she is portrayed by Jennifer Garner.

Emily is a middle-aged woman with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 5'8" in height, a little shorter than her husband.
Personality[]
Emily Spier is the mother of Simon and Nora. She is a kind and loving mother, always supporting her kids in their endeavours. Emily believed Simon was hiding a secret for many years before he came out. In the movie, she comforts Simon after he came out and encourages him to be his true self.

Emily is seen briefly towards the end of the book. She is wearing a t-shirt saying "Fear the Squirrel/Haverford Mom", as Simon has decided to go to Haverford College. She is seen alongside her husband taking pictures of Simon and his friends before they attend prom.

At the beginning of the film, she is seen gifting Simon a car with her husband. Simon describes her as the "the hot valedictorian" who married the "handsome quarterback."
Then on Halloween, after seeing Simon arrive drunk from a party, she and her husband wonder if they are good parents.

In The Truth Hurts, Simon tells Victor that he was out of commission the last few days because his family was in town for the weekend. He and Bram were showing them around the city, meanwhile Victor was looking at a photo of Bram, Simon, Emily and Jack Spier.
